About
My works have often been described as the result of “intuitive architecting” or “utopian architecting”, whether this refers to my 3D sculptures or 2D paintings. They visualise astonishing structures that seem to expand in time and refuse to be limited by traditional rules or preconceived ideas. The houses stand erect, growing organically from rock or concrete that is conquered by lightweight wood, weathered by the elements. They fly away self-confidently, offering painted shelters in the sky. Or they sail away on beautifully polished hulls, surmounted by constructions that seem to grow in time, like a living Noah’s ark. All of them live their fragile lives, entwined with heavy materials that cannot stop their strong will to adapt, to survive.
